Colores del Tango is a spectacle of high quality dance show accompanied by the Beltango Orchestra, one of the most well-known tango orchestras in Europe. The performances will be held at the Teatru Manoel in Valletta
on the 25th and 26th of February, 2012.

It would be mostly appreciated if you can confirm your attendance by Wednesday the 28th December since there is some organising to be done. As most of you may know St Augustine Hall requires a more festive atmosphere than it is at present so should any of you be willing to lend me some Christmas decorations kindly let me know so that I can arrange for collection.  On the Thursday 29th December I would also like to have some of you lending us a helping hand to set up the venue. I have just heard some amazing news!! 

As a tango dancer the news excites me to new heights, as a lover of the arts the news intrigues me and as a social animal the news revs me up completely. 

I am promised class, style and sophistication.  I am guaranteed a super duper affair.  It is still under wraps as the organiser needs some finalisations but I was told to keep the weekend of Saturday the 25th of February 2012 free.  I have already noted it in my new 2012 diary in bold letters:).

It gives me great pleasure in announcing the New Years Eve Tango Party in collaboration with Argentine Tango with Nathalie, Isla del Tango and Malta Argentine Tango Association. This fun party with games and other suprises is in aid of the Community Chest Fund  and will be taking place on the 31st December 2011 at St Augustine’s Hall, Triq il Kbira, Rabat.
 
Entrance fee is €10 per person
Kindly bring food and drinks to share
Start time is 21:00hrs and music shall go on till the early hours of the morning. Special DJs with special music – David Bonnici and Nathalie Mifsud.

One and a half hours minimum, more likely two, of serious Argentine tango dancing. We are on about making sure that core techniques are well second nature to you plus we will incorporate musicality.

On Wednesday 9th November at 6.30pm and Saturday 12th November at 2.30pm – 4pm we will meet at Calleja Ltd. 31 Labini Street, Birkirkara.

Each session is 5 euro each.

Isla del Tango and the whole local tango community salutes a lovely tanguero who has danced his last tango on the 26th of September 2011.  Joe ‘Peppino’ Gatt, you were much loved and respected dear friend.   Thursday 29th will see the opening of the Malta Mediterranean Milongas.  The tanda at 9.30pm at Il-Forn will be played and danced in memory of a gentleman.

A spot of culture, Med-food and a tango embrace

The Maltese Tango Community has come together to present to you a beautiful tango weekend where friendships will blossom and tango danced.

We will be happy to warmly welcome local and international tango dancers to an event where  people of similar minds come together to enjoy each other’s company and what they love most.

On Thursday 29^th of September evening we will be heading south of the island.  We can tour the famous historical three-cities (meet us at 6.30pm near Freedom Statue – Il-Monument tal-Helsien), have a spot of Maltese food (8pm) and tango at IL-FORN (9pm until midnight).  This atmospheric venue was an old bakery turned into an art gallery & wine bar serving light food.  DJ for the night is Nathalie Mifsud.

On the evening of Friday 30^th of September  we are heading to Palm Court, Phoenicia Hotel, Floriana.  Milonga from 8.30pm until midnight.  DJ for the night is Claudia Borg.

On the evening of Saturday 1st of October we will be dancing in the heart of Valletta for the annual Notte Bianca which is a spectacular, night-long celebration of culture and the arts in Malta’s capital.  Cultural venues, state palaces and museums open their doors almost all night, with many playing host to visual art exhibitions, dance and theatre performances.  Streets and squares become venues for open-air concerts, while many cafes and restaurants extend their hours and also run pavement stalls.  All art and musical forms are represented from classical to pop and contemporary.  The event sees Valletta become an ‘open city’ of culture.  The event sees Valletta become an ‘open city’ of culture. Join us at stage 33 near Strait Street from 7pm onwards.  DJ for the night is David Bonnici.

On Sunday 2^nd of October we will be organising an afternoon milonga in a beautiful house in a rural area.  All are invited to bring food & specialties & tango experiences to share.   This event starts from 4pm until 8pm.  Directions will be given when you ask a local tanguero/a.  DJ for the evening is David Bugeja.
