A 4 course menu paired with wine and a tango
1st Course Parilla: Mix De Esparragos Con Jamon Cocido Asado / BBQ Tender asparagus wrapped in prosciutto, topped with toasted breadcrumbs, Parmesan, and balsamic vinegar. Vino: Bodegas Callia “Alta” Shiraz Rose. Tango: Color de Rosa, Orchestra Lucio Demare (1928)
2nd Course Parilla: Brochette de Camarones / Lemon pepper marinated prawn skewers, served with a mango and chimmichuri sauce. Vino: Bodegas Callia Torrontes Reservado. Tango: Naranjo en Flor, Orchestra Pedro Laurenz (1944)
Main Course Parilla: Bife Ancho / 350g of Prime Argentine Angus Rib-Eye cooked to your liking while basted with Chimichurri sauce. Vino: Bodegas Callia “Magna” Malbec. Tango: Aromas, Orchestra Osmar Maderna (1923)

The Parilla, Vino & Tango event was a joyful event of “a marriage of the senses” as Maestro Eric Jorissen aptly put it while describing the tangos that paired the lovely San Juan Callia Wines supplied by P.Cutajar and the scrumptious food cooked to perfection by the chefs at Bottegin Palazzo Xara in Rabat. The tango dancing & milonga was organised with pleasure by Isla del Tango.
